Covid Procedures

We are following guidelines set forth by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards, The Florida Board of Massage and the Florida Department of Health. Currently masks are not required by patrons. Our staff wear masks when working in close proximity to a client’s face. If a client appears to be unwell, we may check temperature and blood oxygen level.   

We recommend making your reservation in advance to ensure availability. Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment.

Card On File
A credit card is required. The information must be kept on file to reserve an appointment. The card will only be charged for late cancellations and no call/no shows. 

Client Intake Form
Once your appointment is reserved, you will receive a client intake form via email. Please take a few moments to complete prior to your arrival, so it does not take away from your massage time. 

You must be 18 years or older to book an appointment. Appointments for minors are welcomed and may be booked by a parent or guardian. Parent or guardian must be present at first check-in. All subsequent appointments for minors must be reserved by parent or guardian.

The best massages are when all items of clothing have been removed. This allows the therapist to access areas around the lower back and hip joint, providing for a better massage experience. However, draping by the sheet is required at all times. More specifically, genitalia must be covered by a sheet or other covering at all times. If the therapist feels compromised due to the removal of covering, repeated suggestions or other advances, he or she may end the massage and the client will be banned from returning plus will be charged the full service price.

Personal Belongings
Please leave all valuables at home, the therapists and Pure Joy Massage And Wellness, LLC are not responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced items. Lockers are available to store personal belongings during services. You may bring your own padlock (recommended) or use one provided. 

Gratuity is not included in the service price. Tipping is welcomed and customary. Gratuity while at your discretion, may be as generous as you’d like and is traditionally between 15% – 25% and often higher depending on the skill level of the therapist. 

Cell Phones, Games & Tablets
We ask that you silence all technology upon arrival in respect of other guests. Cellphone use is prohibited in reception or any other area of the spa out of respect for the other guests. 

This is your time to relax and heal. Talking is sometimes required during therapy to not exceed pain thresholds. However, please be mindful of guests in other treatment rooms. Relax, enjoy this time of healing. Talking is not necessary. Please also minimize talking while in the reception area or hallways so as to not disturb other guests.

Specials may not be combined. Special promotions require 72 hour notice for changes or cancellations. 

Prices are subject to change without notice. 

Cancellations with less than 24 FULL HOURS will incur a $40 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 3 hours of the appointment time, will be charged the full price of service. Special promotions require 72 hour notice for changes and cancellations.
